Student Nomination

The “UTRGV Profiles in Excellence” provides an opportunity to recognize UTRGV students who have made outstanding contributions to the university and local community. The Dean of Students and the Public Affairs office partner to select and showcase students of the week for this recognition program. Selected students will be featured in The Monitor, The Brownsville Herald and on the UTRGV website.

Undergraduate and graduate students may be nominated by faculty and staff on the basis of academics, athletics, arts, community service, leadership and attitude. Nominees must be currently enrolled and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher at the time of nomination. Undergraduate students must have also obtained 45 or more credit hours at UTRGV.
